Hello and welcome to my blog this sunny day for my slot on the book tour for 'Dreams in a Jar' by Kate Staves. Thankyou to Rachelsrandomresources for providing me with a physical copy of this lovely book in order to be part of the tour.

Front cover of Dreams in a Jar

What if you could keep a little piece of your dreams to hold on to forever?

Put on your very best pyjamas and get ready for a magical journey through the land of dreams, collecting trinkets and souvenirs as we go!

In this story, a flower isn’t just a flower…it’s a pixie hat! A rusty old bolt isn’t just a rusty old bolt…it’s a piece of a rocket ship that blasted past a star! Let’s collect up all of these precious treasures together and keep them somewhere safe…I know, how about in a special jar?

A sweet, rhyming adventure story to share with your little dreamer

Oh this was such a sweet children's story. It is perfect for all your little adventurers to read and enjoy imagining other worlds and thinking of things to dream about! In this story the main character collects items from each of her dreams and stores them in a jar to remember. I love all the different dreams, they are so imaginative and they give children ideas and aspirations of things they can do, things they can be and imaginary worlds they can dream about and use in their play. It is perfect for the ages 2-6. I read it with my 5 year old and he loved it. It has become a staple bedtime book!

The illustrations are gorgeous and really bring the dreams alive and allow them to jump of the page. We especially enjoyed the jar template at the end of the book where we drew something we wanted to collect from our dreams, R chose a dragon! 😍🐉

This is a lovely book to add to your bedtime story repertoire as it opens up a lot of conversation about children's dreams and what they might be about.
