First paragraph intros/Teaser tuesdays #1 9th February 2021.

Hello my fabulous bookish folk. So here we are with another meme post. I keep finding such fun activities to join in and post about so be prepared for some book spam! But lets be honest, if you are reading my blog, chances are you don't mind a bit of book related spam!!

Today's memes are First Chapter/Intros, hosted by Yvonne @ Socrates Book Reviews. Each week readers post the first paragraph of a book they are reading or that they plan to read soon.

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, which is hosted by Ambrosia at The Purple Booker. Here we share two random lines from a book to entice..... If you want to join along I will include the rules at the end of this post.

I felt these themes complimented each other very well and should whet your appetite a little and maybe encourage you to add a new book to your TBR!!

This week I have started reading:

Ruthless Women by Melanie Blake.

This book is an ARC I received through Netgalley but don't fret as if you like the sound of it, you will be able to buy it on February 18th 2021

First chapter:

Meeting Room 6 was so bright that on sunny days the sunshine flooded through the floor-to-ceiling windows with such intensity that scripts or notes on the table would visibly fade during a long session. On cloudier days it showcased the postcard-perfect bay opposite. Little candy-coloured sea cottages, built into the rock, were dotted around as far as the eye could see and just beyond the last was a hidden beach, where, if you knew the way in, you could listen to the waves crashing on the rocks and pretend you were anywhere in the world, not mere feet away from the hustle-bustle of the cast and crew working on one of the most famous location sets in the world.

Teaser:

With his solicitor’s words ringing in his ears and images from The Green Mile in his head, he followed the duty sergeant through the corridors of the police station, trying not to make eye contact with anybody as they headed towards a door at the end of the long walkway.

Aiden’s mouth dropped wide open, almost cartoonlike, as her words sank in.

So what do you think? Have these teasers piqued your interest in the book?

Share your thoughts in the comments!

I have to say as first paragraphs go I loved this one. Its so full of detail I could see the view from the windows and had major workplace envy!!

If you want to join in with Teaser Tuesdays here are the rules:

1: Grab your current read 2: Open to a random page 3: Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page

• BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!) • Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers! Everyone loves Teaser Tuesday.

If you do create your own post do share it in the comments. I would love to read some more teasers. My TBR can never have too many books added to it!

Have a great Tuesday!
