Happy Sunday everyone!
I hope you have all had a lovely week despite Lockdown. It's been a crazy one for me. The biggest event being our contracts were exchanged this week which means we will be moving house on Tuesday! I am beyond excited to be starting this next chapter of our lives but also very sad. Myself and my husband have lived in our cosy little home In Sheffield for 13 years, it was our first purchased home together. Moving on from our ramshackle abode (or disaster shack as it was originally christened by my sister so many years ago!) is going to be a bitter sweet experience. We have made so many memories here, we got engaged, married and had our beautiful son, he has spent the first three years of his existence running manically around the rooms as well as drawing on walls! (Shhh don't tell the new owners! ) I spent many hours studying and planning for my PGCE course and many late nights working at my little desk until I became a qualified teacher.
While I know all these are memories that will go with me wherever we end up, it still feels like the end of an era and I will miss our first family home. However now it is time to move on to our next adventure, one which we are all very excited to embark on!
In other news, as if didn't have enough on my plate, I decided this week was the perfect week to launch this website and blog! It is something I have been thinking of doing for a while now. I have always reviewed the books I have read on Instagram and Goodreads but I wanted to establish a space where I could share my views on books and other things. I have always wanted to write more and thought what better way to start than to share my ramblings with a larger audience! It has been such a fun week becoming part of the #writingcommunity on twitter and I have already been privileged to meet and chat with some authors, some who have even shared their work with me in exchange for an honest review. Honestly I am buzzing! I couldn't believe how quickly people have started welcoming me and how kind the blogging and writing community is.
Anyway that is enough nattering for now! Onto the books I have come across this week so far.....
Books I have bought
I got a little excited this week when I signed up to the HohohoRAT hosted by the Caffeinated reviewer and bought a few kindle books to fit the bill! I found both Heidi Swann and Sarah Morgan through twitter and I am very much looking forward to reading these books. The readathon will run from 19th-30th November. Is there a more perfect way to spend lockdown winter evenings than snuggled under a blanket with a hot chocolate, reading Christmas books? I think not!! Hayley Marsh is another author I have spoken to since starting my blog and she has had some great tips for me so I thought I would buy her book to gain some more insight into writing. I borrowed Sex power and money from RB digital - my library app, after seeing it recommended on the BBC book club show 'Between the covers' It is the first audiobook I have ever tried and I am enjoying it so far, it makes ironing a lot more fun! There is a lot of Science discussed along with the humour which I find very interesting.
ARCs/Books received from Authors
I have been very lucky this week with books shared with me. Two authors have offered me a copy of their books in exchange for an honest review. I am very proud that they have shared their work with me in this way especially as I have only just started out! So thank you to Hayley Marsh and Allison Martine I look forward to reading these books and reviewing them for you.

Well that's a rap folks. Have a great day!
Apologies but it seems Wix does not have the capability to reply to individual comments (major design flaw for such a big website) so I shall have to reply en masse!
