Good morning dear readers and welcome to July! I hope you have all been practising some self care this week. I would love to hear what you have been up to in the comments! Here is my weekly round up of all things self care and what I have been doing to look after my own well-being.

I had the absolute BEST start to my week, for my 40th birthday my friends gifted me a spa break and so last Sunday we enjoyed the most relaxing spa experience ever courtesy of The Titanic Spa in Huddersfield. The spa rooms were just divine, I could have stayed forever and the pool was just gorgeous. I had a massage and a power facial and I felt like a new woman! I will write a full review of the spa on the blog soon, but let’s just say that a day of pampering with my besties was just what I needed! We stayed over in the apartments and then had a gorgeous walk around the Yorkshire Sculpture Park on our way home, we checked out the Damien Hirst exhibition and I found a new artist ‘Rob Ryan’ who I will be keeping more of an eye out for.

As per usual I have been listening to The Self Care Club podcast and this weeks episodes were about matcha and puppy yoga! I don’t know what I will do when I catch up with all the earlier episodes, I will have to find another podcast to binge!
I also tried a new podcast this week called I-Weigh by Jameela Jamil . I genuinely love her, she is so articulate and passionate about her cause, the episode I listened to was an interview with Reese Witherspoon whom I also love. It was such a great episode, I will certainly listen to more of this podcast, it is so important to sum up people by the weight of their achievements and happiness rather than their body image. Thumbs up to you Jameela!

This week I have only read one book as I’ve had a lot of stuff on, but it was by one of my favourite authors - Jessica Redland. ‘Chasing dreams at Hedgehog Hollow’ It is the latest in her Hedgehog Hollow series which I love and I will be sharing my thoughts with you tomorrow as part of the blog tour. You can read my review of the previous book here, A wedding at Hedgehog Hollow.

I don’t know about you but a lot of my self care includes the people I love and so it was so great to start the week with my friends at the spa and then finish the week with my family! Myself and R took a trip down to Worcester to visit my parents and caught up with the sibbos too. We visited Worcester Carnival and enjoyed a fun parade as well as the most delicious Jammy dodger blondie! Just yummy! The day was finished off with a screening of the new stranger things episode! Eek it’s just too good I can’t wait to watch the final one! Today there will be more walks and food before heading back home. It s a gorgeous way to wrap up my week of self care!
So that's been my self care this week. I hope it has given you some ideas of things you could try this week to up your self care!
What have you been doing for self care lately? Let me know in the comments. I am always up for finding new things to try!
