This was such a lovely book, it housed step by step instructions of how to draw a Giraffe. This is one animal I absolutely love so I had to have a go at drawing my very own.

The instructions are done in small steps and each page shows the step in real size and in close up so you can see how it should look. It takes you through slowly and by the end you are able to create your very own artistic impression which can then be coloured as you wish. Each page has a fact about Giraffes on it so we learnt a lot as well!

My 6 year old has recently become really obsessed with drawing animals using step by step instructions so it was the obvious choice to do this together on a rainy afternoon. It kept him engaged and was simple enough that he was able to follow the steps alongside me. He was really proud of his picture at the end as was I! Check out our creations below!

Overall I thought this book was really child friendly and fun to do. We loved learning all the little facts about Giraffes and completing the word search at the end. This is one we will do again!
